Project Description

The two combined projects for SCL, Residential (Surrey Lane) and Education (SJBC), were challenging as they ran concurrently. This however was eased through good pre-planning and management techniques.

The Residential (Surrey Lane) was a fit-out package involving the installation of doors, vanity units, wardrobes, timber decking, and skirting to all apartments and communal areas as well as the Installation of timber cladding to the penthouse apartments. The Timber Cladding was difficult in setting out and design as we had to take into account all openings and services to ensure that there would not be any uneven closing pieces around any openings as well as achieving structural performance. This was achieved through the use of AutoCAD, SCL were able to use this to envisage how the cladding would look upon complete and therefor ensure the best possible finish was achievable.
