Scope of Works

The Sainsbury Botanic Research Laboratory was the winner of the RIBA Sterling Prize 2012 and was a project that allowed Swift Crafted Ltd to demonstrate their skill for high quality finishes and attention to detail. Despite tough competition from the Lyric Theatre in Belfast, the Hepworth Gallery in Wakefield as well as a number of buildings thrust into the Olympic limelight, the Sainsbury's building took the top prize for being an exceptionally nice building, thoughtfully planned and beautifully constructed in fine stone, timber and concrete.

Swift Crafted were responsible for the veneered and laminated door sets, bespoke joinery, hardwood staircases and balustrades, veneered wall panelling and hit and miss hardwood panelling and toilet fit out.
