Project Description
National Satellite Testing Facility is a new 4 storey building which is the first of its kind within the UK. The project for us is a joinery fit out which included timber and metal doorsets with IPS toilet systems. Internal screens and windows which offered high acoustic resistant to the office area which overlooked the main floor where the Satellites were put through their paces ready for space.
One of the main features of the project is a large compression chamber which the frame of the building consumes on the ground floor with multiple areas for various testing such as heat and vibration. Beings its first in the UK, British Astronaut Tim Peake came to visit and even brought the first prototype of the Mars Rover with him.
