Out impact
Responsible construction through environmental care, social value, and strong governance
At Swift Crafted Ltd, we recognise that delivering high-quality carpentry, joinery, and fit out services comes with a broader responsibility—to people, to the planet, and to the industry we’re proud to be part of.
Our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles are embedded across our operations, shaping how we build, how we support others, and how we hold ourselves accountable.
Environmental
Promoting low-carbon, resource-efficient construction
01/
Net Zero Carbon
We are committed to Net Zero Carbon by 2030. We are achieving this by measuring our carbon data and implementing initiatives to reduce, re-use, recycle and offset.
02/
Sustainable timber sourcing
We prioritise FSC® and PEFC-certified timber across all projects, maintaining full chain of custody documentation and working with suppliers who share our values in responsible forestry and ethical procurement.
03/
Timber Development UK
We are members of Timber Development UK, the largest supply chain body for timber in the UK. As part of our membership:
- We are certified Responsible Purchasers of Timber
- We have access to a world class timber supply chain
- We can utilise a comprehensive online library of technical specification and design guidance
- We contribute to, and learn from, tools, training and data supporting net zero timber construction
04/
Championing timber as a sustainable material
As specialists in carpentry and joinery, we actively promote timber as a renewable, low-carbon solution in modern construction. Our early design input often helps clients adopt timber in smarter, more efficient ways.
05/
Reducing waste and site impact
Through a mix of off-site prefabrication, accurate material take-offs, and careful site planning, we aim to reduce unnecessary waste. We support waste segregation practices on site and pro-actively look to re-use before recycling or responsibly disposing of packaging and surplus materials.
06/
Corporate Partnership with Word Forest Organisation
Word Forest is an environmental and education charity based in the UK. Operating in the UK & Kenya, it works to combat the devastating effects of global warming and climate change by planting fast growing, predominantly food bearing trees in the tropics. They also support women’s empowerment, build classrooms and facilitate education.
- Since 2022, we have planted over 1,500 trees which will remove 375 Tonnes of CO2 and other pollutants from the atmosphere.
07/
Low-impact operations
We encourage efficient travel and delivery planning to reduce emissions, and we support electric vehicle usage wherever possible.
08/
Protec's Closed Loop Remanufacturing Scheme
We work with Protec to recycle and remanufacture our temporary protection materials.
09/
Sustainable finishes and adhesives
Where viable, we use low-VOC products, water-based lacquers, and non-toxic finishes to support healthier environments and improved indoor air quality.
10/
Assessing Our Impact
We continuously collect and analyse environmental data to support ongoing improvement across our operations.
Governance
Ethical, transparent, and accountable in everything we do
Strong governance underpins our operations and relationships. We hold ourselves to high standards of professionalism, safety, and integrity ensuring our Clients can trust us to deliver responsibly.
01/
Health, Safety & Quality management
Our work is delivered under clear procedures, including detailed site audits, installation checklists, and senior leadership reviews. We operate a “right first time” culture, and we take prompt action where standards are not met.
02/
Ethical procurement & anti-slavery commitment
We only work with trusted supply chain partners who share our values. Our procurement policies include due diligence on labour practices, and we are fully committed to the prevention of modern slavery. We have Sedex certification, demonstrating our commitment to ethical sourcing, sustainable practices, and social responsibility.
03/
Data protection and transparency
We handle all client and employee information in accordance with GDPR, and we maintain full transparency in how we report project progress, quality status, and commercial data.
04/
Director-led accountability
ESG performance is regularly reviewed at board level. Our leadership team is directly involved in monitoring targets, reviewing outcomes, and ensuring continuous improvement across the business.
Crafted with care
Ready to build responsibly
We believe ESG is not a checkbox, it’s a commitment that defines how we work, who we work with, and the legacy we leave behind on every project. Whether delivering a high-spec commercial fit out or restoring a listed heritage building, we’re focused on doing it responsibly, sustainably, and with care.
