Carpentry Apprentices

If you are interested in a career in construction our two year carpentry apprentices scheme will give you the opportunity to learn a commercial trade, with on the job training, providing you with essential work experience.

The practical skills you learn will be further complemented by our fully funded day release NVQ approved college courses which will lead you to gaining an industry recognised NVQ 2 qualification.

What we offer

On joining our carpentry apprentice scheme, you will be embarking on a 24-30 month personal development journey, approximately 24 months to complete the learning at college on a day release basis then entry into the gateway to complete your End Point Assessment (EPA) to acheive the apprenticeship which can take up to 6 months.

We offer a structured apprenticeship programme, with a clearly defined career path and salary scale.

Each apprentice’s progress is carefully monitored and regularly reviewed.

We provide you the opportunity to work on a variety of different sites exposing you to a comprehensive list of diverse carpentry skills that will help you master your trade so that you can work safely, efficiently and to a high-quality standard.

We will fund and pay you to attend an approved college one day a week and provide you with the opportunity to gain practical experience working four days a week on one of our construction sites.

Salary Scale

On your enrolment we will provide you with a defined career path that, providing you achieve the milestone targets, will show how your salary will increment in stages in line with government guidelines.

On Qualification

Although a permanent position at the end of the apprenticeship period is not guaranteed, it is our stated objective to take on apprentices who have achieved a high standard and that over time will progress through the company and support our business plan to build a continuous professional qualified and skilled workforce.

When qualified, if we offer you a permanent position, we would offer you the position of assistant/improver carpenter and look to you to progress through to carpenter, foreman, construction manager and beyond.
