Project Description

The project was a large-scaled re-design of the Welcome Building with a new Arrivals Hall, Retail areas, Café, Restaurant and Internal Plants Area in one of the largest outdoor plant centres in the UK.

The new buildings are grouped together around an open-air “Village Square" packed with Horticultural inspiration where visitors can socialise.

One of the main issues we overcame was the bespoke oak veneered full height access panels. The access panels were to be installed in internal brick walls with shadow gaps split in 3 which had to be self supported. A clamp design was created to the back of the bricks to hold the access panels in place with one strut back to the concrete structure.
