Carbon Footprint Reporting

Swift Crafted Ltd's carbon footprint for the period from 2019 to 2022 reveals a deviation from the universal objective of achieving a consistent year-on-year reduction in carbon emissions.

This departure can primarily be attributed to the exceptional circumstances of the Covid-19 global pandemic and the consequent "stay at home" directives imposed by the UK government. These measures had a significant impact on the data for the years 2020 and 2021, resulting in a decline in Scope 1 & 2 emissions during the height of the pandemic, followed by an increase as the threat subsided and the Company transitioned to a new normal.

Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the majority of the UK's construction projects continued, leading to a considerable increase in Swift Crafted Ltd's turnover during 2020 and 2021 compared to the pre and post-pandemic years.

Although the increased turnover was welcomed it resulted in having an adverse effect on the company's Scope 3 emissions, causing a substantial increase compared to the emissions reported in 2019.

The Company is committed to achieving Net Zero Carbon by 2026.

With this objective in mind, Swift Crafted aims to demonstrate a significant reduction in its emissions across all scopes. By 2026, the company's goal is to achieve a 50% reduction in Scope 1 emissions, as well as a 25% reduction in both Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions. These targets reflect the Company's dedication to addressing its direct emissions as well as those associated with its energy consumption and supply chain.

To effectively mitigate any remaining carbon footprint, Swift Crafted will actively engage in gold-standard carbon offset initiatives. These initiatives will enable the company to offset and compensate for the residual emissions that cannot be eliminated through internal reduction efforts alone. By leveraging reliable and high-quality carbon offset projects, Swift Crafted will further contribute to the global efforts of combating climate change.
